The chairman of 3D-Micromac AG has appointed Dr. Carsten Swiatkowski as Chief Technology Officer. Effective October 1, 2015 he will take charge of technical management at the Chemnitz machine manufacturer and also head the company divisions of engineering and process development. At the same time he has been appointed as a member of the management.

Carsten Swiatkowski brings to the company more than 20 years' experience in laser technology as well as very useful branch experience for 3D-Micromac. After studying physics and graduating at the TU Berlin, Carsten Swiatkowski worked in the semiconductor industry in the area of planning and development for measurement systems. In subsequent years at a leading international medical engineering company he was responsible for laser systems development for medical use. After that Carsten Swiatkowski worked in product management at a manufacturer of industrial laser beam sources. Later, at the same company, he assumed management of the sales and marketing division. In his most recent position Carsten Swiatkowski worked almost 10 years at the photovoltaics manufacturer Hanwha Q Cells GmbH as Senior Manager in technology development. His responsibilities included the selection, acquisition and implementation of new laser systems and wet benches, the transfer of technology to other production sites, and development and implementation of the technology roadmap for the associated cell manufacturing processes.
